Centrality and Solace: Reflections on the Full Moon in Leo

The Full Moon shone from late in Leo, staring down our Star in the closing days of Aquarius. There is a valiant effort, a desire to be seen and to see others, to recognize them in their particularity, their diverging parts, their alienation, and to help them feel whole in this.

“We all want to be found out, we want the liberty of being found out, we want to be seen for what we fear we are, we want everyone to know our worst, most tragic flaw. We want to be found out so we can be set free, so we can finally just be the flawed, trying human we all are.” —Dank Zell

The conjunction shared by Venus and Mars in Capricorn brings both passion and practicality, ardor and arbitration — with romantic blossoms and boundaries taken together the same.

The Aquarius Sun, coming off a Leo Full Moon in particular, has since the weekend brought with it a kind of perspective shift. Seeing things from the vantage of another, and looking at where we feel we ‘belong’ or do not belong, might run high at this time. Just as Leo radiates from the inside out, a cat basking in its own regality, Aquarius looks from the outside in, a rebel, an outcast, the divine pariah, the contrarian, the restoration to some kind of sovereign separateness.

Aquarius energy loves the divinity of not belonging, or some awareness thereof. Harmonizing our feelings and actions in expressiveness toward the people, places and priorities to which we -do- belong — this is part of the goal, as the lunar cycle here reaches its climax.

A solar system sanctuary.
